I was a bit nervous to go to Spain alone, because I heard many horror stories about being robbed in Spain.  However, a friend of mine introduced me her friend to travel together in Spain.  I was glad to have a trip partner in a somehow ill-famed but attractive country.  She and I were supposed to meet at the Madrid Barajas airport, but she never showed up.  As time passed, I was worried and searched for her in 3 different terminals.  I thought that something might happen to her and decided to call her.  I was looking for a pay phone.  Then, a handsome man who wore a seemingly expensive suit came and asked me what I was looking for.  I told him that I was looking for a pay phone.  He showed me a way to the pay phone and told me that he had an extra phone card for me, which cost 30 Euro.  At that time, I was not sure whether the card was expensive, but I just felt it was too much for me to pay for just one call.  I declined his offer.  He immediately went to another man showing a variety of his phone cards.  I then dropped by a store and asked a clerk for a phone card, which only cost 5 Euro.  It was an interesting start of my journey in Spain.
